At 13, James hiked the Dorset coast path from Golden
Cap to Ballard Down, taking pictures with a small
automatic camera. That journey took 4 days but has
had a far longer term impact on his life.
James
also holds a doctorate in entomology, having spent
4 years studying size variation in bumblebee workers.
Although loving ecological research, he has found
the pull of photography too great to ignore.
His
chosen subject matter covers a broad range, but is
generally confined to the natural world, focussing
particularly on trees and landscapes, both coastal
and inland.
James
has enjoyed great critical and commercial success
exhibiting his work during Dorset Art Week ‘06
and ‘08, and
is currently exhibiting in the Trowbridge
Gallery, Castle Cary, Somerset, on an indefinite
basis. Come and have a look!
